Leigh College are delighted to be an official training kit sponsor for Leigh Centurions in the 2020 Betfred Championship season.

We will proudly have the Leigh College logo displayed on Leigh Centurions training and match day clothing throughout the 2020 season.

Leigh Centurions Head Coach John Duffy said: “I am pleased to welcome Leigh College on board as one of our sponsors and am excited to see how we can work together during the coming season.

“I have met several times with staff from the College and they have some exciting ideas which will benefit both parties. The link with the Tommy Sale Youth team is something that I can only see getting stronger and we will be doing everything we can to build on their success.

“Gregg McNally is now coaching the College team and will be heavily involved in the link between Tommy Sale Youth and the transition to College. Gregg is a fantastic role model and somebody the local players can tap into to become a future Leigh Centurions player.”

Wigan & Leigh College Head of Marketing, Kathryn O’Neill said: “We are proud to sponsor Leigh Centurions and further strengthen the close bond between the club and Leigh College. Our Centre of Excellence in Sport has already seen our rugby league academy players benefit from working alongside coaches and players at the club. We wish the team luck for a highly successful season ahead.”

Warren Turley from Leigh College added: “The category 3 academy offers both our male and female Rugby players the opportunity to gain an academic qualification whilst improving their skills and knowledge through being coached by a professional rugby league player.

"These qualifications include Level 1 and 2 Sport as well as Level 3 BTEC Extended Diplomas in Sport and Sports Science. The academy team train 4 hours per week built into their timetable plus a weekly fixture against other colleges from the region."
